Graves of Poles from World War II in the forest cemetery

More than 3,500 war victims are buried at the Waldfriedhof forest cemetery in Duisburg (North Rhine-Westphalia). 144 Polish citizens rest here. The names of only 57 people are known.
In 2020-2021, the "Polish-German Reconciliation Foundation", as part of a task supported by the "Places of National Remembrance Abroad" Programme of the Minister, compiled data on the buried persons and made it available, together with a description of the cemetery, on the website of the "Polish Memorials and War Graves in Germany" project: https://polskiegroby.pl/cmentarz.php?jez=pl&cmentarzok=1190&miejsceok=1151&landok=10.
