Biography:

Jan Lambert-Rucki (1888-1967). He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. After his studies, inspired by Gaugun's exhibition, he decided to go to France. There he attended classes at the Colarossi Academy. After the First World War, he married Monique Bickel and had one daughter with her. He was an avant-garde artist, representing Cubism, Surrealism and Art Deco. His art was exhibited all over the world and he was also a pioneer of Semi-Modern Sacred Art. He died on 27 July 1967 at his home in Paris.
