Janusz Tadeusz Kusociński (nicknamed Kusy, 1907-1940) - Polish athlete, winner of an Olympic gold medal in Los Angeles in the 10,000m run and a silver medal at the first European Championships at a distance of 5,000m. Multiple Polish record-holder and champion in middle and long distance running. Independence underground activist during the German occupation, murdered in Palmiry.
