Biography:

Józef Bartelmus (1881-1950), pre-war Austrian officer, from November 1918 an officer in the Polish Army. In 1919, he was appointed military prosecutor of the General District in Lwów. From 1920, legal clerk of the General District Command Pomerania in Grudziądz, from 1922 legal adviser to the Navy Management in Warsaw. In 1926, he was assigned the rank of lieutenant colonel with seniority. In 1931, he retired. He left with his wife for Croatia, where he took care of the Polish House in Nečujam. After the war, he returned to Poland.
