Tombstone of Alexander Bauer

Тернопіль | Ukraine

Burial site marked by a cross on a plinth and three-tier base. Cross stylised as a tree trunk. Second and third tiers of base fronted by a convex, irregular face, bordered by a frame. The plinth in the form of a stylised pile of stones. To the front a plaque in the form of an unrolled scroll on which is an inscription in engraving. The upper right-hand corner of the plaque and the plinth decorated with a convex carved trillium.

Inscription:

Ś. + P. / ALEKSANDER / BAUER / Sędzia Śledczy / * 1888 + 27. XII. 1919 / Prosi o Modlitwę //.

Inwentaryzacja cmentarzy dawnego powiatu buczackiego wykonana została w latach 2017-2019 przez zespół z Instytutu Historii Sztuki Uniwersytetu Kardynała Stefana Wyszyńskiego w Warszawie pod kierunkiem prof. Anny Sylwii Czyż i dr. Bartłomieja Gutowskiego. Materiał opracowany został w formie kart ewidencyjnych obiektów zabytkowych i opublikowany w książce "Cmentarze dawnego powiatu tarnopolskiego", t. 1 i 2, pod red. A. S. Czyż i B. Gutowskiego, Warszawa 2017-2019 roku. Karty inwentaryzacyjne opublikowane zostały w katalogu on-line - http://cmentarzetarnopolskie.uksw.edu.pl/. Dokumentacja obejmuje wszystkie nagrobki związane z polskim dziedzictwem kulturowym (przede wszystkim rozstrzygający jest napis w języku polskim) powstałe przed 1945 rokiem.
