Tombstone of Jozef Monkiewicz

Vilnius | Lithuania
The burial site was originally marked by a cast iron cross on a plinth framed by a concrete band in the form of a coffin lid. The cross has not survived. The plinth tapers towards the top, with an inscription on the front, engraved with stylised plant forms. Similar floral forms on the sides of the pedestal. A crack along the plinth. The whole enclosed by a fence consisting of concrete plinths connected by an iron bar. Fence shared with gravestone No. 11.

New dimensions: fence: h: 60, w:153, d: 225, band: h: 60, w: n50, d: 120. new inscription: ¶. † P. / JÓZEFA/ MONKIEWICZ / z DOMU/ TYSZKIEWICZÓW/ born 1854/ died 1919
