Gravestone of Leopold Wohlfeld

Тернопіль | Ukraine

The burial site marked by an obelisk on a two-stepped plinth and base. On the obelisk a bas-relief cross to the front, in which a medallion with the figure of Christ wearing a crown of thorns. Below a cast-iron hook, a frame with stylised floral vicia and a photograph on porcelain. Below, an open book with ritual inscription (1) and stylised laurel leaves. Base with chamfered upper edges. First step of plinth with chamfered upper edges. On the front an engraved frame with ears, within which is an engraved inscription (2). The second step of the plinth with moulded upper edges.

1. Tu spoczywa / LEOPOLD JÓZEF WOHLFELD / absolwent gimnazjalny / zm 18/VI 1927 20 R ŻYCIA / PROSI O POZDROWIENIE / ANIELSKIE //.
2. Polu! Ty w szacie jasnego anioła / Żyjesz szczęśliwy w niebios krainie / A tu po Tobie smutek dokoła / I żal głęboki z serc rodziców płynie //.
