Tombstone of Maria and Jacek Szczyrski and Stanisław Sokołowski

Тернопіль | Ukraine

Burial site marked by originally unpreserved finial (statue/column?) on two-stage plinth and two-stage base, in band. Finial on its own octagonal base. First step of plinth with moulded upper edges. Second step of plinth with cube frieze and Ionic kimatation. On four sides panels with quarter-circular chamfered corners, in the front (1) and left (2) an engraved inscription.

Additional information:

next to the gravestone a cast-iron statue of Christ Crucified from another monument. The gravestone mentioned in: "Gravestone inscriptions of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland", vol. 4, "Ternopil Voivodship, City of Ternopil", edited by L. Morawiecki, Rzeszów 2004, p. 106.

State of preservation:

numerous cavities, mosses, lichens, non-maintained finial
