Biography:

Olgierd Truszyński (1931-2020), sculptor. Between 1950 and 1955 he studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where in 1956 he obtained his diploma in the atelier of pro. Marian Wnuk In 1965-1967 in Guinea, Konrkarch, he gave a series of lectures at the Institute of Fine Arts (Institut des Beaux-Arts) there, and from 1987 he worked at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Poznań, where he obtained the title of professor. He is the author of sculptural series such as: "Circus Men", "Women's Men", "Gates". He has taken part in many exhibitions at home and abroad, participated in sculpture plein-airs, e.g. in Orońsko and in a symposium of European sculptors in St. Margarethen (Austria) in 1964, where his realisation has been preserved.
