Biography:

Antoni Jabłoński (1860–1926), born in Stryków, son of Kacper Jabłoński and Wiktoria (née Dołęgowska), construction manager.

He began his professional career in industrial plants in Warsaw; from 1884, he was employed by the firm ‘K. Rudzki i S-ka’, where he rose to the position of workshop manager and subsequently bridge construction manager.

He was involved in the construction of many important crossings within the Russian Empire, including on the Trans-Siberian Railway, over the Northern Dvina, the Amu Darya, the Volkhov, the Neva and the Amur. He also supervised the construction of bridges in Warsaw, Grodno and St Petersburg. In 1920, he returned to Poland and served as mayor of Stryków until his death.
