Biography:

Marek Szwarc (1892-1952) - Polish-Jewish painter and sculptor; active in Poland and France. Member of the Jung Jidysz group in Lodz (1919-1921). In France since 1911, where he studied at the Paris School of Fine Arts until the outbreak of the First World War and lived in the artist colony La Ruche. He spent the years 1914-1920 in Poland, from where he left again for Paris. During the Second World War he enlisted in the Polish army in France.
