Biography:

Frenchman active in Spain, Poland and Prussia, military and water engineer, architect, garden designer and draughtsman. In 1752 he arrived in Poland, at that time patented as a lieutenant in the infantry regiment of Hetman Jan Klemens Branicki, who at the same time engaged him at his court. He probably also built the new residence of Michał Fryderyk Czartoryski and Eleonora Waldstein in Wołczyn. From 1757 he worked for Franciszek Saleze Potocki, for whom he designed and built a magnificent residence with garden in Krystynopol and a small palace in Perespa. In 1758, he signed a contract for the design and construction of the residence of the crown chamberlain Feliks Czacki in Lviv. In Krakow, the architect built a palace for Ignacy Cetner, Voivode of Bełz, and may also have been the author of the garden there.
