The objective of the program for the preservation of Polish cultural heritage abroad is to ensure the protection of particularly valuable objects of Polish cultural heritage located outside the country. These include immovable monuments (such as works of architecture and construction, cemeteries, parks and gardens, sites of historical events, or places associated with the activities of prominent individuals or institutions) as well as movable monuments (such as works of fine art, artistic craftsmanship, and applied arts, historical memorabilia, interior decorations, architectural details and ornaments, tombstones, and other elements of minor architecture, such as chapels and roadside crosses).
