Between 1863 and 1864, numerous insurgent units stayed in the Zielonka Forest. According to the account of local residents, Tsarist soldiers hanged 2 insurgents here, who were buried at the place of execution. A wooden cross was erected on their grave, which was replaced twice. In 1969, a forester from the Levuo forestry district cleaned up the grave. A tree branch with 2 scythes, a chain and a plaque were placed. The inscription reads: "1863 m./ nežinomu / sukileliu / kapai / Jie / kovojo / už žemę / ir laisva". After Lithuania regained its independence, a statue of the Sorrowful Jesus was placed on a bough of a spruce tree growing next to the grave.
