Biography:
Born in Tajna (Slovakia). A participant in the Polish-Bolshevik War. He worked as a clerk in the School District Board of Trustees in Brest, at the same time studying at the Free Polish University. He took part in the September Campaign, then he was sent to the USSR and the Anders Army, where he served, among others, as the head of the Department of Culture and Press of the 2nd Polish Corps. After the Second World War, he found himself in Great Britain. He was involved in the organisation of Polish education in exile. From 1966 to 1989, he served as President of the Association of Polish Teachers Abroad. He also edited the magazine Wiadomości nauczycielskie. He was involved in social activities. From 1974 to 1989, he served as Minister of Education and Culture in the government-in-exile.
