Jerzy Gawawalkiewicz, a medical engineer, was murdered by Lithuanians in 1944. The cause and circumstances of this murder are unknown.
. The grave is located at the edge of the cemetery, close to the fence running along the road. The inscription reads: "The late Eng. Jerzy Gawalkiewicz, born in Warsaw in 1900, murdered by Lithuanian fascists on 4 April 1944. ". The grave is looked after by pupils of the local school, who are in contact with the son of the murdered man. The grave is generally in good condition, while the inscription plaque shows signs of damage. This is due to the fact that the words "by Lithuanian fascists" were repeatedly scratched out by unknown perpetrators. These acts of vandalism ended several years ago.
