Biography:

Tadeusz Bielecki (1901-1982), born in Słupia, died in London, Polish national politician and publicist. Chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Party (from 1939), editor-in-chief of the periodical Myśl Polska (1946-1947), MP for the Sejm of the 3rd term, member of the Committee for National Affairs (from 1940). He studied at the Philosophy Department of the Jagiellonian University, the Law Department of the University of Warsaw, and the School of Political Science. He took part as a volunteer in the 1920 War. He was a member of the secret National League (from 1924), personal secretary to Roman Dmowski (1927), and associated with the Great Poland Camp. He was a member of the PLO, the PLO Youth Movement, among others. He was Chairman of the National Party Supreme Council (1939-1982), a post he held until his death. He took part in the September Campaign. He then spent time in Hungary, Paris and Great Britain. He criticised the conclusion of the Sikorski-Mayski Agreement. After the war, he remained in exile and took an active part in political life there.
