At the same time, Ossoliński settled permanently in Vienna, where, collecting various library collections, he took up the post of secret counsellor at the imperial court, where he did not spend too much time, because already a year later he became prefect of the Imperial Court Library; he also served as curator of the Galician economic institute in Vienna and was awarded the title of Supreme Marshal of the Crown, Commander of the Order of St Stephen and Grand Chancellor of the Kingdom of Poland. Stefan and Grand Chancellor of the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria conferred by Emperor Francis I of Austria. He died after a serious illness on 17 March 1826 in Vienna.
