Information about the object:
The book is an attempt to capture the essence of cultural heritage, which cannot be reduced to concepts of conservation or art history. The book contains valuable descriptions of material relating to the department of library science and archival science. It provides information on material culture objects in the form of architecture, painting and art are largely absent. The project was carried out on the basis of numerous historical sources in the form of archival material located outside Poland.

The subsequent publication volumes represent the next phase of the project initiated back in 2010 and regularly funded until 2020. 80 texts have been published, including 10 foreign texts on the broad multicultural heritage of the former Republic.

Completed works:
The task of the Institute for Research on European Cultural Heritage consisted in the scientific elaboration and preparation for printing (printing scheduled for 2023) of 3 volumes of the book State of Research on the Multicultural Heritage of the Old Republic (volumes XV-XVIII).

The texts used in the book were edited as part of the task, scientifically edited, in some cases translated and then prepared for printing.

The result of the project in the form of 3 volumes is a continuation of the previous 10 volumes of this work published since 2010. The publication of further volumes is a logical consequence of the large body of texts, particularly given the diversity of topics and research methodologies of the diverse representatives of the sciences. The final result of the project is a good summary of the last 3 years of scientific work undertaken on the topic presented.
