"Emigration for an Independent Poland in the Years 1914-1920" Materials from the 39th Permanent Conference of Polish Museums, Archives and Libraries in the West" - publication of the Polonica Institute

The POLONIKA Institute funded a publication containing materials from the 39th Permanent Conference of Polish Museums, Archives and Libraries in the West (MAB for short), which were presented from 4-8 October 2017 in New York.

The MAB is an informal agreement of autonomous organisations dedicated to the care of Polish culture, history and art. It was established in 1977 in Rapperswil by three museum institutions working on behalf of Polish emigration. Over time, other centres joined, collecting the achievements of Polish culture, preserving its riches and presenting its inseparability from the culture of the free world beyond the borders of the then Polish People's Republic. After 1989, members of the MAB established cooperation with Polish official offices, scientific and cultural institutions.
