Biography:

Józef Kapuściński (1818-1847), member of the Polish Democratic Society, one of the organisers of the Krakow Uprising, led the attack on the Mayor of Pilzno. Together with Teofil Wiśniowski, he was hanged on the Mount of Execution in Lvov, where the citizens founded a monument in 1894.
