Biography:

Anna Dębska (1929-2014), born in Warsaw, sculptor. Between 1949 and 1953 she studied at the Department of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she studied under Professors Tadeusz Breyer and Marian Wnuk. After graduating, she concentrated on creating sculptures of animals, especially horses. From 1955 she participated in numerous exhibitions both at home and abroad.

In 1979 Dębska moved to the United States and settled in California, where she lived until 1995. After returning to Poland, she settled in Łazy, where she established a racehorse stud. Her daughter, Joanna Waliszewska, is a sculptor, art critic and writer, and her granddaughter, Aleksandra Waliszewska, is a painter.
