Tombstone of Janina Semkiw

Milowce | Ukraine

Burial site marked by a statue of Our Lady of the Rosary on a stone pile plinth and base. The statue with a decapitated head, on its own base. Mary shown frontally, with her hands folded in a prayer gesture, with a rosary slung over her left hand. She is dressed in a long robe and cloak, her feet barefoot. On the pedestal at the front is a relief carved angel in half pose, shown in profile. In her left hand she holds an unfolded scroll with a ritual inscription.
