In the collection of the archives of the city of Bologna is the chronicle Insignia degli Anziani Consoli . It was produced between 1530 and 1796 and is divided into 16 volumes. The Bolognese city authorities commissioned a miniature every two months depicting an important event in the life of the city. Subsequent images were painted in a parchment book. In the thirteenth volume, one can find scenes involving Maria Clementina Sobieska and James Stuart:
. - Marriage per procura of Maria Clementina Sobieska to James Edward Stuart (1719),
. - Ceremonies in the Basilica of San Petronio with James Stuart and Clementina Sobieska (1722),
- Pope Benedict XIII baptises the son of James Stuart and Mary Clementine (1725),
. - The elders of the city welcome Clementine Sobieski and her sons in Bologna (1726),
- The elders of the city of Bologna bid farewell to Clementine Sobieski leaving for Rome (1729).
