The Latin Cathedral in Lviv is one of the city's most valuable monuments. The temple is characterised by its rich decoration, on which outstanding artists worked. One example is the 18th-century polychrome paintings by Stanisław Stroiński, a painter from Lviv. Placed on the vault of the church, the two cycles of paintings, 'Flight into Egypt' and 'Slaughter of the Innocents', underwent conservation work at the end of 2020. The main aim of the work was to halt the deterioration of the polychrome.
