Tomb of the Order of St. John of God

The tomb is rectangular in plan, framed by a plinth, on an axis with an overhang covered by a gable roof. Side parts covered with a near-pitched roof. A tomb with an elaborate gable in the form of a wall surmounted by a cross and with volutes at the rear elevation. The gable decorated with a relief carved pomegranate fruit. At the back, an inscription in relief (2). At the front, on the axis, the entrance is closed with a cast-iron panel with cast inscription (1).

According to the file of Lucjan Uziębła, the cross crowning the tomb was made of metal and bore the inscription: In Signo Ordinis S. Joannis a Deo //. Below the coat of arms of the monks there was to be another inscription: Tombs of the Order of the O. F. Bonifratres //. On the front there was a plaque with the inscription: S. + P. / Fr. Ignatius / Marquitan Prior / Born 10 November 1866 / Died 4 June 1925 / S. + P. / Fr Anzern / Konicarek Prior / Born 1 I 1888 / Died 28 VIII 1932 //. According to Waclaw Wejtko's file, the name of the Prior is Fr. Anzern Koniarek (the correct form of the Prior's name is Anzelm Koniarek). Below the metal cross the sign of the order, the plaques were of white marble.
