The sculptural installation placed in the open space of the museum's terrace was created in 1992/1993. It consists of forty backshells cast in bronze, measuring 90 x 63 x 80 cm. They are characterised by the absence of arms and legs and their supernatural size. The sculptural installation commissioned by the Museum of Contemporary Art of the City of Hiroshima and displayed on its terrace was realised thanks to the petition of more than 6,000 city residents.
