The burial site was originally marked by a cross on a pedestal in the form of rocks and a rectangular base with sides decorated with stylised tree branches and a band with corners cut in the form of a square. The cruciform decoration lies alongside. On the pedestal at the front an oval space for an unpreserved photograph; below this a plaque in the form of a scroll, within it an inscription in engraving.
