According to Lewkowski and Walczak in Bogdany, "there is a brick obelisk topped by a cross with a steel inscription plaque with the inscription 'TO POLISH SOLDIERS AND OFFICERS / POLYSOFOLNIERS AND OFFICERS / POLYGEMED IN THE FIGHT AGAINST GERMAN-FASCISIAN / CONTRIBUTORS / IN THE AREA OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR / IN THE AREA OF THE SZCZUCZYŃ REGION". The monument was erected in 1995 on the initiative of the Szczuczyn branch of the ZPB to commemorate the smashing of a German border guard post on 16 June 1944 (...) It is under the care of the local Polish population."
