Cemetery in Ruda Jaworska

Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments. Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography).
According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, the Catholic cemetery has a rectangular plan and a 0.2 ha area surrounded by a wooden fence. It was established in the 1st half of the 20th century. To quote the aforementioned authors: "It is dominated by gravestones of the interwar period. They are mostly simple, styleless tombstones in the form of vertical slabs topped with a cross or wooden obelisks. The wooden obelisk is the oldest gravestone in the cemetery on the grave of Michał Żelazowski, dating from 1926. The most common names on the gravestones are: Urbanowicz, Lebieć - spelling with variable ending - d, ź, ć." Inscription from the gravestone of Michał Żelazowski: "MICHAŁ ŻELAZOWSKI / LIVED 76 YEARS / DIED. 12 FEBRUARY / 1926. / PAM. FROM HIS SON BRONISŁAW".
