Biography:

Adam Marczyński (1908-1985), born in Kraków, painter and graphic artist. He studied in the ateliers of Władysław Jarocki and Ignacy Pieńkowski at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, from which he graduated in 1936. He was associated with the Kraków Group. From 1945 he worked at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where he led the painting studio. In 1950 he received the title of professor. He dealt not only with painting, but also with drawing, graphic art and stage design.
