Biography:

Adam Myjak (1947-2025), born in Stary Sącz, sculptor and pedagogue, professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, its rector for many years (1990-1996, 1999-2006, 2012-2020).

Graduate of the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Scholarship holder and lecturer in Duisburg, member of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. Author of numerous monuments and sculptural works, including the Tadeusz Kościuszko monument in Połaniec, the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński monument in Zalesie, the Apollo Quadriga composition at the Grand Theatre in Warsaw and the Homo Homini sculpture in Kielce.
