The files of the Union of Poles "Zgoda" in Germany were handed over to the Documentation Centre for the Culture and History of Poles in Germany "Porta Polonica" in Bochum in 2015, following the dissolution of the organisation. The Union's sorted files were then transferred to the Archives of Social Movements (Archiv für soziale Bewegungen - AfsB), located in the House of Ruhr History (Haus der Geschichte des Ruhrgebiets) in Bochum, where they are available for research.
Union of Poles "Zgoda" - a Polish community organisation established in 1950 in the Federal Republic of Germany. The organisation was founded in 1950 as a result of a split in the Union of Poles in Germany. Advocating cooperation with the authorities of the People's Republic of Poland, the Poles had their first headquarters in Hamburg, then in Bochum, where the so-called Recklinghaus was established. The association carried out cultural and educational activities. There were Women's League circles attached to the union. The organ of the association was "Głos Polski".
