Biography:

Aleksander Jędrzejewski (1903-1974), born in Żytomierz, son of Piotr and Halina (née Piwocka), set designer and painter. He studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts under Tadeusz Pruszkowski, belonged to the Brotherhood of St Luke and took part in its exhibitions. Before the war, he worked as a stage designer in Lutsk and Bydgoszcz, among other places. After 1945, he was connected with Wrocław, where for many years he created stage designs for the theatres there, as well as for the theatres in Łódź, Warsaw and the Television Theatre.
