Biography:

Anna Maria Eleonora "Hanka" Princess Lubomirska née Lubomirska h. Drużyna (1891-1943) - Polish social activist, philanthropist, participant of the independence conspiracy.
Daughter of Adam Franciszek Lubomirski and Maria Wanda Eleonora hr. Zamoyska. In 1924, she married Jerzy Ignacy Lubomirski, with whom she lived in Charzewice. After World War I, she got involved in rebuilding the estate and in social activities - she established an orphanage and a centre for orphans run by Franciscan nuns. In the interwar period she created modern gardens and nurseries of ornamental plants in Charzewice, managed by well-known gardener Stefan Makowiecki.
During World War II, she organised help for refugees and soldiers, co-founding the Committee for Refugees and Exiles in Rozwadów (later PCK). She gave shelter to the needy, supported the displaced and interned. She was active in the Home Army as a liaison officer under the pseudonym "Sowa". She died in 1943 and was buried in the crypt of the Lubomirski family in Rozwadów.
