Antonii Manastyrski (1803-1869), born in Stanislavov, son of Jan and Krystyna Wisniewska. He received his education at three centres: in Stanislavov, Lvov and Vienna. He was ordained in 1826. In 1867, he became an assistant to the papal throne. He participated in the sessions of the First Vatican Council. He is an honorary citizen of the city of Lviv.
