Information about the object:
The church was part of the Dominican monastery complex. It was built in 1616 in the Baroque style. It was rebuilt in 1748. In 1843, after the monastery was cancelled by the Russian authorities, it served as a parish church. During the Soviet period, it served as an archive for the NKVD. In the 1980s, the building was restored and used as an art school. In 1993, it was destroyed by fire. It was rebuilt by the Pauline Fathers, who took over the entire site in 1998. It has been undergoing restoration work since 1999.

Work completed: basic architectural and conservation research was carried out on the church. The project resulted in a documentation summarising the research with conclusions and photographic documentation.
