Biography:

Bohdan Bocianowski (1911-1983), Polish graphic artist and caricaturist. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in graphic design. In 1930, he got a job as a caricaturist in the weekly "Cyrulik Warszawski". After his studies, he was active as an illustrator for books and magazines. In 1937, he was awarded the Grand Prix in the poster category at the international exhibition "Art and Technology" for his drawings. Between 1946 and 1950, he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Artistic director of children's and youth literature at "Nasza Księgarnia". Chief graphic artist of RSW Prasa-Książka-Ruch. He died in 1983 in Warsaw. He is buried at the Powązki cemetery in Warsaw.
