Bois-de-Vaux cemetery in Lausanne

The Bois-de-Vaux cemetery in Lausanne is the largest necropolis in the city. Its creation is linked to the baby boom of the early 20th century. The cemetery was designed by the Swiss architect, Alphonse Laverrière.
In 2021, in cooperation with the Polonica Institute, conservation work was undertaken on the tombstone of Zygmunt Miłkowski, a Polish writer and publicist. The work consisted in the authentication of the tombstone's inscription.
