Tunica Cemetery was established in 1791 https://irp.te.ua/2010-03-03-18-32-06/ and functioned as a burial ground for various Christian denominations for a century until it came under the administration of the Orthodox Church. The cemetery is located in the south-western part of the city on an area of approximately 3 hectares.

Zbigniew Hauser mentions three tombstones with Polish inscriptions, among them, of course, the tombstone of the Januszeski family, under which Salomea Bécu, the mother of Juliusz Słowacki, who died in 1855, was buried. The pink sandstone monument takes the form of a high plinth covered by a slab and topped by a vase with drapery standing on a massive gravestone. Also worth mentioning is the gravestone of the Jakubski family, not mentioned by Hauser, but very impressive and characteristic, crowned with a sculpture of a winged Tanatos kneeling on one knee, supported by an upturned torch with a wreath in his hand.
