The cemetery is located in the town, on a gentle hill. The necropolis, which is still active, contains a great number of empty grave sites. A total of 72 Polish monuments were found during the inventory. The oldest documented burial of Michalina Tymińska took place in 1880. During the inventory, tombstones of clergymen were found: Rev. Józef Bar (1902-1919), Rev. Ludwik Skimina (1901-1919), Rev. Bronisław Mroziuk (died 1920) and Rev. Fidelis Paszkowski (died 1891) buried with his mother Dorota, née Rogalski (died 1891). The necropolis also contains the grave of Anna and Jozef and Michal Cudzowscy, who were killed by a grenade in 1939, as indicated by their tombstone inscription. Unfortunately, it is not specified when exactly they met their tragic death. One signed gravestone has been found in the Barysh cemetery. The creator of the monument to Marcela (1869-1924) and Ludwik (1859-1925) Wujcik was A. Potyra, who ran a stone and sculpture workshop in Monasterzyska. The other monuments were made by anonymous stonemasons from local workshops and represent the average national level. On the territory of the necropolis there is an earthen grave, in which the bodies of about 135 victims of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army's attack on the inhabitants of Barysh in the night of 5-6 February 1945 are buried.30 This was not the only act of crime committed by the Bandera in the town. According to materials collected by Czesław Blicharski, the largest number of inhabitants of all the villages and towns described by witnesses were murdered in Barysh. In the cemetery, the gravestone of Józef Kowcz, killed by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army in July 1939, and of Józef Chmielewski, who died at the hands of the Bandera on 8 October 1944, were found.
