Cemetery in Borki Wielkie

The cemetery is located on the territory of the former (until 1939) district of Ternopil. The cemetery is located in the central part of the village of Borki Wielkie. It was probably established before 1847, which is indicated by the oldest preserved monuments. There are 60 preserved tombstones commemorating Poles who died before 1945, most of them in the south-western part. The layout of the cemetery is close to regular, with a designated main alley running from the gate. The south-western part of the cemetery overgrown. Polish tombstones come from local workshops. The predominant gravestone forms include crosses on a plinth, tombstones, and a fairly numerous group of tombstones with figural sculpture from local workshops. The oldest gravestone is that of Helena Kruczkowska, with the effigy of St. Helena cut down.
