Cemetery in Ivanovo

An active Catholic cemetery established in the mid-19th century is located approximately 120 m from the western edge of the village. The rectangular-plan cemetery, located on a flat area, covers an area of 0.7 ha and is fenced with a wooden fence. It is not divided into alleys and plots. Gravestones from the 1st half of the 20th century predominate. The oldest gravestones are located near the cemetery gate. The oldest gravestone from 1852 is in the form of a cuboid pedestal topped with a massive cast iron cross with arms ending in balls. The grave belongs to Stefania Lewkowiczówna. The grave field was fenced with a cast-iron fence. The inscription has been preserved: / STEFANJA LEWKOWICZÓWNA/ DIED R. 1852 DECEMBER/ 26TH DAY OF HER LIFE/ AGED 17/. Many inhabitants of the neighbouring villages are buried in the cemetery.
Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography).
