Raszków cemetery

The Catholic cemetery of the nobility in Raszków is located in the eastern part of the village at the edge of the forest on the left side of the road turning to Rybnica. Tombstones from the mid-19th and early 20th centuries have been preserved in the cemetery to this day. The necropolis is still active and occupies an area of approximately 1 ha. Zbigniew Hauser found 17 inscriptions in Polish from 1833 to 1920 in 1995.

From 2019 to 2021, a much larger number of monuments were discovered during the course of restoration work - tidying up the cemetery area, cutting back unnecessary overgrowth, as well as carrying out maintenance and inventory. According to the "Aid to Poles in the East" Foundation, a total of 250 objects have been identified in Raszków https://pol.org.pl/2020/09/07/wolontariat-na-polskich-cmentarzach-w-raszkowie-i-jahorliku/. Among others, the tombstone of Antoni Haman (not mentioned by Hauser) and the tombstone of Zenonia Heyman (d.1865) were subjected to conservation treatment https://pol.org.pl/2021/11/05/zrealizowano-prace-konserwatorskie-przy-polskich-zabytkach-w-moldawii/ . The latter is an imposing plinth on a multi-stepped, expansive base, surmounted by eight acroterions and decorated with a decorative relief of garlands supported by a pair of doves. The whole is surrounded by a band on a stepped descending stone wall http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9UMzgo-a4k .
