Cemetery in Rohotná

Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments. Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography).
According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, the active Catholic-Orthodox cemetery was established on a rectangular plan. It has a 0.4 ha area surrounded by a wooden fence. To quote the aforementioned authors: "There are Orthodox burials in the cemetery with styleless gravestones. A dozen Catholic graves with Polish inscriptions have survived. The oldest is a granite slab on the grave of Antoni Protassewicz (d. 1931). The last Catholic burials date from 1957." The inscription from the gravestone of Antoni Protassewicz reads: 'ANTONI PROTASEWICZ / DIED DN. 29 NOV. / 1931 / MORE AND MORE CLEARLY / I FEEL THAT I AM DYING / WITH CONFIDENCE WITHOUT FEAR I LEAN ON THE CROSS".
