Old Wisniowiec Cemetery

Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments. Information about the cemetery published (see bibliography).

The cemetery in Stary Wiśniowiec is located on the right side of the road from Krzemieniec to Ternopil. It was most likely established at the beginning of the 20th century. The oldest preserved tombstone with an inscription is dated 1909. It was erected to Katarzyna Wysocka, who died in 1908. The cemetery is devastated, the gravestones are broken, devoid of fragments and crosses. most of the preserved gravestones have the form of tombstones. One of the tombstones is topped with a cast iron cross. Particularly noteworthy is a gravestone topped with an obelisk, where three children named Misiewicz were buried in the late 1920s and early 1930s. A ruined fragment of the chapel has been preserved in the depths of the cemetery.
