Trabach cemetery

Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments. Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography).
According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, "the church cemetery in Trabach is located in the centre of the village, at the crossroads of local roads. The central part of the square is occupied by the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The square around the church is enclosed by a stone wall. By the wall, on the southern side, at the level of the nave, there are several tombstones from the 1st half of the 20th century: Ursula Błażejewiczowa (née Puszka, died 1924) (...) Zubkowiczowa (née Zubkowiczowa, died 1924) and two tombstones without inscriptions. By the southern bond of the church is located the grave of Father Pavel Suchocki (d. 1924), parish priest of Trabsk. The inscription plaque is built into the wall of the tower, the grave is located underneath and has the form of a tombstone surrounded by a blacksmith fence. Next to the second tower is the gravestone of Waclaw Rodzko, who died a tragic death in 1942." The cemetery is maintained in good condition. Noteworthy is the inscription from Rev Suchocki's slab: "PRIEST PAWEŁ SUCHOCKI / PASTOR OF THE TRABY CHURCH / WITH THE PARISHIONERS OF THIS CHURCH / THE FOUNDER RULED THE PARISH FOR 37 YEARS / UM. IN 71 R. OF LIFE ON OCTOBER 24, 1904 / COMMENDS HIMSELF TO THE PRAYERS OF THE PARISHIONERS / REQUIESCAT IN PACE".
The aforementioned authors also describe an active Catholic cemetery located in the south-western part of Trab. It has a rectangular plan and 0.6 ha of unfenced area. Most of the gravestones here are from the 1st half of the 20th century. The oldest, from 1836 and is in the form of a cast-iron slab (preserved in 3/4). The inscription reads: "TO DAWID WINCENT RAKINT / JUDGE: GRAN: PTTU: OSZMIAN / 1836: JANUARY 25 DAY / AGE 59 AND 5 DAYS / FROM OTHER WIVES AND CHILDREN (...)". The cemetery is maintained in a good condition.
