Cemetery in Truskavets

The Catholic cemetery in Truskavets is now located in the middle of the town, about 500 metres from the parish church, near the devastated Orthodox church. It was probably established at the end of the 19th century, which can be inferred from the dates on the surviving tombstones. There was an older cemetery in Truskavets, but it was plundered after the Second World War. This necropolis is vestigial, only with inscriptions in Polish. It is very neglected and overgrown with vegetation. In addition, it is surrounded by new houses of the expanding health resort, which may threaten to make it disappear from the landscape of Truskavets.

According to Hauser, the cemetery lacks tombstones of particular artistic value. He does, however, draw attention to the magnificent tomb of the Dębowski and Targowski sisters, who are also buried there. Nearby is the tombstone of Bolesław Sieniuszkiewicz Ilnicki (d. 1931) in the form of a stone obelisk. Closer to the church is a tomb of pink stone belonging to a professor of the Jesuit college in Chyrów - Father Jozef Sas (died 1931).

According to Hauser, the most interesting gravestone is a monument in the southern part of the cemetery in the shape of a sarcophagus topped by a statue of a sleeping child, from whose inscription only the word "Parents" survives.

In the parish church there is also an epitaph of Valerya Klimczykowa, née Żółkiewska (d. 1888), in black marble.
