Cemetery in Vikšniany

Cemetery with Polish gravestone monuments. Information about the cemetery has been published (see bibliography).
According to Anna Lewkowska, Jacek Lewkowski and Wojciech Walczak, the active Catholic cemetery in Vikszniany has a rectangular plan and a 0.2 ha grid-fenced area. It is not divided into alleys and plots. Most of the tombstones from that period have not survived, the oldest one dates back to 1900 and bears the following inscription: "JÓZEF ZYDEL / LIVED AGED 64 DIED. 7, 1977." In the cemetery there is a section with the graves of 11 soldiers of the AK of the 6th Bat. 77th PP, and nearby a quarter with three AK soldiers killed at the same time. In addition, a wooden contemporary chapel has been built in the cemetery.
