Second (smaller) war cemetery from the battle of Kostiuchnowka - so-called Bracka Mogiła

A large war cemetery near Kostiuchnówka was established after a bloody battle fought on 6.11.1915, when Polish legionaries recaptured the Cegielnia hill, later named Polska Góra, from Russian hands. Some of the legionaries - 42 fallen - were buried in the second cemetery, located on Polish Mountain. After the battle, this area was surrounded by barbed wire and a wooden cross with an inscription was erected on it. This necropolis, like the other burial sites of Polish legionaries in the area, was destroyed during the communist period.

In 1998, scouts from the Zgierz Scouting and Guiding Association (ZHP) started to rebuild this cemetery, the work was completed in 2002. In the following years, the cemetery was under the constant care of the scouts. Since 2017, this care has been financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage within the framework of the Minister's Programme "Sites of National Remembrance Abroad".
